Young entrepreneurs and social media influencers from Jaipur are steadily gaining international recognition, with some even featuring in renowned global publications.
Joining this growing list are Girish Mehta and Anisha Sharma, who have earned a place in Forbes India for their impactful work.
Forbes 30 Under 30 Recognition
Girish Mehta and Anisha Sharma were recently featured in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 list under the Social Impact category. The recognition came through their unique startup, Careleavers Inner Circle Forum (CLIC), which focuses on empowering children and young adults from orphanages.
The duo founded CLIC in 2021 at MNIT Jaipur. Their peer-led social impact platform supports children aged 16 to 18 living in orphanages, as well as young adults above 18 who have exited institutional care. The initiative helps them secure essential government documents, such as Aadhaar cards and voter IDs, and assists them in finding employment opportunities.
Personal Journey Turned Purpose
CLIC is deeply personal for Girish and Anisha. Both spent their childhoods in orphanages and experienced first-hand struggles caused by the absence of guidance and support after leaving institutional care. These challenges inspired them to create a platform that could prevent others from facing similar hardships.
When they began, there was no organised data or structured support system for children transitioning out of orphanages. To bridge this gap, CLIC was established as a comprehensive support network tailored specifically for care leavers.
Services Offered By CLIC
The startup assists young people in obtaining vital documents such as Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, voter IDs, passports, and bank accounts, enabling them to access government welfare schemes and build independent lives.
CLIC also provides free education up to Class 12 and graduation, along with skill development and vocational training for school dropouts, helping them secure better job opportunities.
Additionally, when required, the organisation helps arrange PG accommodation for those in need of shelter.
Growing Reach Across India
What began in Rajasthan has now expanded to Uttarakhand, Gurugram, and West Bengal.
At present, over 3,000 orphanage residents are connected with CLIC, and more than 500 young adults have already received assistance with documentation and rehabilitation.
Government Support And Recognition
During her tenure as Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani extended support to CLIC’s helpline and digital platform, further strengthening its outreach and credibility.
Young people in need of assistance can visit www.clicforum.org to access support and guidance through the Careleavers Inner Circle Forum.
