Cupra Kiro driver Pepe Marti has revealed his favourite gym exercises, each of which is unique and demands intense concentration. The 20-year-old Formula E rookie practises the Reaction Wall Drill and Dual Task Balance exercises, both of which are designed to improve focus and coordination while using balls.

He also emphasises strengthening his core to help him perform at his best behind the wheel.

Pepe Marti reveals his three favourite gym exercises

Continuing his weekly series, Pepe Marti shared the latest video on Instagram with the caption: “Professor Pepe. Ep. 18: My favorite gym exercises. New episode every Tuesday.”The first exercise features him performing the Reaction Wall Drill. It involves catching balls rebounding off a wall after another person throws them from behind him.

Explaining why he enjoys it, Marti says, “The ones I like the most are the reaction exercises, because in the end this prepares us very well for the weekend of races and for us they are still fun.”

He then demonstrates a Dual Task Balance exercise, in which he bounces a ball with one hand while catching a coloured object with the other, all while balancing on a gym ball. Describing the challenge, he says, “This is one of the most difficult, because thinking about the colour, the ball, and also without losing balance, makes it surely the most difficult, but also the most fun.”

The final exercise focuses on shoulder strength and core stability. Marti twists his waist while working his shoulders on a gym machine. “Finally, this is one of the ones I like the most, because it helps us a lot at the circuit to work on stability and then it helps us perform better on the track,” he adds.Among the reactions, Red Bull Spain commented: “Another great lesson from Professor Pepe.” One fan wrote: “The first one looks so fun I want to try it but I got no one to throw the balls for me.”

Another joked: “When I tell you I'm in class, it's this, by the way.”
