Furnish Nagaram lands de-notification proceedings: HC to government

Justice K. Lakshman of the Telangana High Court on Friday directed the Tahsildar-cum-Sub-Registrar of Maheshwaram mandal in Ranga Reddy district to furnish details of the proceedings issued by the Revenue department de-notifying lands in survey numbers 181/1, 181/2 and 181/3 in Nagaram village.

The judge passed the order disposing of a writ petition filed by one Birla Mallesh seeking details of the de-notification proceedings pertaining to the said lands. The judge said the Tahsildar should present the certified copies of the said lands to the petitioner within 30 days of receiving the order copy.

The petitioner contended that he had approached the Tahsildar on August 8 and presented an application seeking details of these lands which were earlier categorised as Bhoodan lands. When the government counsel attempted to present the government stand, the judge sought to know what prevented the government from furnishing the proceedings.

He directed the Tahsildar to reply to the petitioner by explaining the reasons if the copies of the proceedings cannot be supplied to the petitioner.
