G-Dragon recently announced the official cancellation of his tour dates in Bangkok from his 2025 ‘Übermensch’ world tour. The idol at the time did not give any concrete reason for the cancellations and only shared the notice along with an apology.

G-Dragon cancels Bangkok leg of the tour, stuns fans

A few days ago, G-Dragon had officially announced that due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’, the Bangkok leg of the ongoing tour is going to be cancelled until further notice. No proper reason was cited for the sudden announcement, leaving fans in shock and anger. Many criticised the company for not being able to properly handle the idol’s schedules. Many even called them out for giving no reason for the cancellation and providing the statement on such short notice. One netizen commented online that “The agency knows it’s their fault, so they’re staying quiet, LOL. The cancellation rumors were going around forever, and now they finally make an announcement. Great job, LMAO”, while another stated that “If it was about the heat, they would’ve listed it as the reason in the first place”.

Official reason finally shared

Fans had been criticising the company for mismanaging the concert schedules. Now, they have officially announced the reason for the cancellation of the Bangkok leg of the tour. On July 11, they shared a statement on their official website that the reason behind the cancellation was due to extreme heat and weather conditions, as well as safety concerns. The official statement read, “This cancellation was due to the unprecedented and record-breaking heatwave, which has led to ongoing cases of heatstroke. Given that the Rajamangala National Stadium is an outdoor venue, the decision was made in light of these conditions. The health and safety of fans was our top priority in making this decision”.They also promised that new dates and venues will also be announced soon as per the weather conditions.
