New Delhi: The recently launched Galaxy S26 series arrives with some crazy features that many users didn’t expect from Samsung to do. The 2026 models in Samsung’s flagship S-series devices arrived with the latest features like Privacy Display, AI-powered Samsung Browser, Google Pixel’s Magic Cue-inspired Now Nudge, and much more.

Galaxy S26 series features a redesigned camera module, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra has stood as the thinnest Ultra variant ever made by the company.

Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with the built-in privacy display, which Samsung stated to ensure that the users are the only person who gets to see what’s on their screen. This latest feature hides the device’s screen from other people’s view to protect private information. One can even choose which applications or notifications they want to hide.

Now Nudge is an AI-powered assistant feature that is especially designed to subtly support users during conversations without being intrusive. It can automatically surface relevant content, such as shared photos or calendar events, based on the context of the chat. This enables users to access and share information instantly without leaving the applications, and helps them to stay focused and in their flow.

Samsung has also redesigned its Internet browser with the latest Ask AI features, which is powered by Perplexity, focusing on simplifying online research. The tools let the users ask conversational queries and pull information from multiple open tabs at once. Instead of switching between windows or copy-pasting text, the browser compiles insights into a single AI-generated summary.

Galaxy S26 Ultra now becomes the first Galaxy device to support APV, the latest pro-grade codec built for efficient compression in high-quality production workflows. Samsung has also stated that the addition will benefit the content creators by delivering near-lossless video quality, even after multiple rounds of editing.

Upgraded Bixby with AI capabilities, the latest Bixby is comparable to Microsoft Copilot for Windows, which lets users change settings and navigate features by using natural language, without relying on specific commands.

Integrated multiple AI agents into the lineup, including the Gemini and Perplexity. Once configured, the users can complete the tasks through a single button press or voice commands, with the phone capable of handling multi-step actions in the background. It added that these agents support the tasks of searching and carrying out complex tasks seamlessly across applications through natural interaction.

Galaxy S26 series adds an AI-powered call screening feature that can identify unknown numbers and summarise the caller’s intent, while Privacy Alerts notify users in real-time if applications with device admin rights attempt to access sensitive data such as location, call logs, or contacts.

The Photo Assist suite enables users to edit images using text prompts. The users can describe the changes they want, such as turning a daytime shot into night, and the AI applies the edits. The tool can also add elements, reconstruct missing portions of objects, or fix small details like stains on clothing, and even alter outfits in photos.

The edits can be made in stages, reviewed step by step, and adjusted or undone easily, by providing a more flexible editing experience.
