Veera and Keerthi face a new challenge
'Gatta Kusthi 2' continues the journey of Veera and Keerthi after the events of the first film. Having fulfilled his promise to support his wife's wrestling ambitions, Veera embraces the responsibilities of managing the household while caring for their young daughter. Keerthi focuses on her career as she works towards becoming a national wrestling champion.Reviewing the film, ETimes wrote, "There are some portions that work, like the father-daughter track, one comic moment involving the song Appadi Podu, and the subplot involving Veera's patriarchal uncle Rathnam (Karunas) and his wife Padma (Lizzie Antony).
We still get the empowerment messages and the gatta kusthi scenes, but the charm and freshness of the original are missing. And we are forced to endure several dull scenes that keep going on and on.
