Gauhati University honours APSC achievers

Guwahati: Gauhati University felicitated successful candidates of the APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2024 at a special programme organised recently by the Gauhati University Initiative for Competitive Examinations.The event brought together newly selected officers and civil services aspirants, creating a space for inspiration, mentorship and practical guidance.Speaking at the programme, Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury, former chairman of the Assam Public Service Commission and visiting professor at Gauhati University, addressed the gathering on the theme “How to be a Good and Efficient Officer.” “Integrity, commitment to public service and the courage to take impartial decisions are what ultimately define a good administrator,” he said. He added that the credibility of any administration depends on the trust it commands among the people.
