Gaya: All scheduled domestic flight operations from Gaya international airport will remain suspended every Monday and Friday till Sept this year, a senior airport official said on Tuesday.The revised schedule will be effective from Friday, marking a temporary change in the airport’s flight schedule. However, flights on the remaining days of the week will continue as per the existing timetable.At present, IndiGo is operating the Delhi-Gaya-Kolkata and Kolkata-Gaya-Delhi daily flight. All international flights to Bangkok and Paro have already been suspended and are expected to resume in Oct, with the start of tourist season in Bodh Gaya.Confirming the revised arrangement, acting airport director Awadhesh Kumar said, “Normal domestic and international flight services are expected to resume in Oct with the implementation of the winter schedule”.He added, “It is the decision of IndiGo management to suspend operations twice a week and the Airports Authority of India has no role in this decision.”“Passengers travelling on Mondays and Fridays have been advised to check with their respective airlines before planning their journey to avoid last-minute inconvenience”, he added.
