Surat: Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in collaboration with South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized a roadshow in Surat on the occasion of the 13th edition of SITEX 2026. The main objective of this roadshow was to promote GCCI’s flagship exhibition “GCCI Annual Trade Expo (GATE 2026)” and to further strengthen dialogue and cooperation with industry stakeholders of South Gujarat.
Industrialists, exhibitors, entrepreneurs and representatives of textile and allied sectors actively participated in this roadshow held at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center, Sarsana.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Nikhil Madrasi, President, SGCCI welcomed the GCCI delegation and appreciated the initiative of organizing the roadshow in Surat. He highlighted the industrial strength and entrepreneurial spirit of South Gujarat and stressed the importance of greater regional participation at major national forums like GATE 2026 for wider market penetration and business development.
Addressing the gathering, GCCI Senior Vice President Shri Rajesh Gandhi highlighted the rise of Surat as the Textile Capital of India, driven by industrial resilience, innovation and continuous technological upgradation. He emphasized that the textile industry is undergoing rapid transformation due to automation, digital integration, energy efficiency and sustainability, and noted that platforms like SITEX play a vital role in enabling technology adoption, collaboration and market expansion. He reaffirmed GCCI’s continued commitment to strengthening policy advocacy, industry facilitation and industry-government collaboration to enhance Gujarat’s global competitiveness.
He also presented the details of GATE 2026 – the second edition, organized after the success of GATE 2025. The exhibition, to be held from April 16 to 18, 2020 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, will be held on a larger scale, in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a Developed India 2047. Covering 16 key industry sectors, with a special focus on automobile and auto ancillary industries, GATE 2026
Spread over approximately 18,000 square meters, it will feature over 400 exhibitors and is expected to attract over 50,000 B2B visitors.
The exhibition will cover a broad spectrum of sectors including startups and women entrepreneurs, pharmaceuticals and AYUSH, food, agriculture and dairy, engineering, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, electronics, IT and ITeS, tourism, real estate, industrial parks, renewable energy and energy efficiency, co-working spaces, water and allied industries and banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI).
The exhibition will feature sector-specific seminars, structured B2B meetings and special industry zones to enable focused networking and business matchmaking. The roadshow concluded with an interactive session where industry members expressed their enthusiasm for participating in GATE 2026.
GCCI thanked SGCCI for its support and termed this roadshow as an important milestone in the preparations for GATE 2026, which aims to set new benchmarks in promoting Gujarat’s industrial and commercial excellence.
