New Delhi: Google has officially announced that it has expanded the personalized image generation capabilities in the Gemini application to more users in the United States by integrating Personal Intelligence with Nano Banana and Google Photos. According to Group Product Manager and Multimodel Generation Lead David Sharon, for Gemini applications, Personal Intelligence uses information from connected Google services to provide more relevant and personalized responses.

With the user’s permission, Gemini can also access the information from Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Google Search. This integration enables Gemini to generate images that reflect users’ preferences, interests, and lifestyles based on information available through connected Google applications. Users can create personalized images by using simple prompts.

Gemini can also use users’ images stored in Google Photos, removing the need to upload photos for personalized image generation manually. Google also stated that the Gemini users’ context is drawn from connected Google applications to reduce the amount of information users need to provide in prompts.

Connecting Google applications to Gemini remains an opt-in feature, and users can review or change these permissions at any time via Gemini settings.
