New Delhi: Google has officially announced that it is releasing its latest two Gemini tools: Import Memory and Import Chat History. These latest tools will help the users to quickly copy over everything their current AI assistant already knows about them with a couple of pre-written prompts, and then by bringing it to Gemini.

Also, Google has recently begun the release of the new memory import feature to the Gemini, which allows users to bring personal context in other AI applications. This is particularly meant to guide Gemini on the information about the preferences of the user, relationships, and background information without having to initiate in the new assistant.

The option can be accessed by the users through the settings of Gemini, which directs them to make a summary of their data through another AI application and paste it over to Gemini. This system will then analyze and store these, with the future interactions being more personalized.

Another feature that Google has released is the ability to import their full chat history into Gemini to expand its customization options.

This upgrade will also enable Gemini to rely on past chats, together with the data in other services such as Gmail, Photos and Search, to provide more context-sensitive responses, provided the users provide the required authorization.

The users can upload the ZIP file containing their chat history from the other AI platforms, making it possible to continue from previous conversations directly within Gemini. Google is also renaming the existing past chats feature to memory, by reflecting its broader role in helping the assistant build continuity and deliver more relevant interactions over time.

After the memory is imported, the Gemini Application will create the new chat thread and integrate this content to remember these details for future conversations. Google stated that this also helps the Gemini Applications understand the user’s context better, by leading to more relevant and personalized responses.
