It was a routine win on paper, but a historic night in reality for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Antetokounmpo family on Tuesday night.
As the Bucks cruised to a 123-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, the spotlight shifted to a milestone moment: Alex Antetokounmpo made his official NBA debut.
A Family First in NBA History
The occasion was already significant, with Alex joining brothers Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo on the same active roster — making them the first trio of brothers to achieve the feat.
But the night went a step further.

With just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Alex stepped onto the court and calmly converted a free throw — his first NBA points.
In doing so, the Antetokounmpo brothers became the first sibling trio in league history to not only play together on the same roster but also each score in the NBA.
Giannis Soaks in the Moment
Giannis, sidelined with a knee injury, watched from the bench as the moment unfolded.
“I can retire now. I’ve done it all man." 🤣Giannis was loving watching his brother Alex score his first NBA points, as the three brothers became the first sibling trio to ever play on the same active NBA roster!

“I can retire now. I’ve done it all, man," he said, visibly elated.
The two-time MVP didn’t just celebrate from afar. He waited for a stoppage in play to retrieve the game ball used for Alex’s first points before handing it over to his younger brother.
A Dream Realised
For Alex, the moment was deeply personal.
“A dream come true. Honestly, just subbing in, I was looking around," he said. “Being a kid that grew up in Milwaukee, it was just kind of crazy… I’ve been to more Bucks games than I can even count, so to put on that jersey was amazing."
He finished with three points in three minutes—a brief cameo, but one that will be remembered.
From G League to NBA Stage
Alex’s journey has been gradual. After signing a two-way contract in October 2025, he spent most of his time with the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks’ G League affiliate, averaging 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds across 33 games.
