GKS, Bentley Systems partner to boost employability of 14,800 engineering students

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding with American company Bentley Systems India Pvt Ltd to equip engineering students in the state with global technology and make them more employable.An official statement said that as part of the partnership, a special Faculty Development Programme (FDP) will be organised by Bentley’s global experts for more than 300 faculty members from civil engineering departments across all 16 govt engineering colleges and 31 govt polytechnic colleges in the state. This initiative will directly benefit around 14,800 students from civil engineering and related disciplines, the statement added.During the training, students will gain hands-on experience with advanced digital engineering tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenFlows, Synchro, and Digital Twin. In addition, project-based learning, hackathons, and design competitions will be used to strengthen their practical and technical capabilities, the statement said.According to the MoU, students and faculty will be given free access to more than 65 industry-standard Bentley software tools to elevate technical education in the state to global standards. Students will also be able to learn at their own pace, whether from home or on campus, through the Bentley Learn Platform.
