Glyph Bar upgrade makes Nothing Phone 4a stand out again

New Delhi: Nothing is now all set to debut with its latest Phone 4a series on March 5. Nothing Phone 4a series will come with two models: Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro. Nothing has officially announced that the Nothing Phone 4a series models will get the latest Glyph Bar instead of the Glyph Matrix rear display, marking another change in the brand’s signature lighting system.

Nothing has also confirmed that the upcoming device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The latest Glyph Bar will consist of nine individually controlled mini LEDs. Nothing has also stated this setup is especially designed to reduce distractions while still delivering clear visual notifications. Nothing describes the Glyph Bar as a cleaner and sharper system that can be read instantly.

Nothing has also mentioned that the latest lighting system uses patented technology to create more natural, neutral, and bleed-free light output.

Nothing also claims that the lights will be around 40% brighter compared to the previous A-series. This also suggests that the Nothing Phone 4a will not come with the Glyph Matrix rear display seen on the Nothing Phone 3. Rather than, the Nothing is going back to light-based notification system instead dot matrix display panel.

Nothing Phone 3a series features Glyph lights, which were essentially multiple LED strips. Nothing Phone 3 debuted with Glyph Matrix, which acted as a tiny rear display and could show the animations. Nothing Phone 3a Lite features a single notification LED.

Nothing has also confirmed that the latest Nothing Phone 4a series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors; the exact processor has not been specified yet. But according to some reports Nothing Phone 4a is been stated to comes with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, while the Pro variant is been expected to feature with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

However, Nothing might also offer variant exclusive colour options such as Pink and Blue shades for the 12GB of RAM variant. Nothing Phone 4a Pro might get Pink colour options exclusive to the top-end 12GB RAM variant. However, the Silver and Black are expected to be available across the variants.

Nothing Phone 4a series is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup similar to the previous Nothing Phone 3a series, which included a telephoto lens. The display is also expected to offer refresh rates of up to 144Hz.
