Golden State Warriors will have to adjust its lineup again because of the missing players. Brandin Podziemski is expected to handle more of the offense with Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler unavailable. Gary Payton II and De’Anthony Melton should see more minutes in the backcourt.Gui Santos could also play a larger role after finishing with 17 points and eight assists in the recent loss to Minnesota.
If Quinten Post is cleared to play, he becomes the main center option since Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis are out. Malevy Leons, Pat Spencer and Nate Williams may also see time off the bench.New York’s rotation is more settled. Jalen Brunson continues to run the offense, while Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby handle scoring and defense on the wing. If Karl-Anthony Towns is able to play, the Knicks gain another scoring option and size inside.Mitchell Robinson remains an important part of the defense and rebounding. Josh Hart usually plays several roles on the floor, so his availability matters. Jeremy Sochan adds another forward who can guard multiple positions. On the bench, Jose Alvarado, Jordan Clarkson and Landry Shamet provide ball handling and shooting.

Golden State Warriors vs New York Knicks Matchup factors to watch
New York has a clear advantage in size. A lineup that could include Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby and Jeremy Sochan creates problems for a Warriors frontcourt that may rely on Quinten Post and smaller forwards.Jalen Brunson is also the most reliable scorer in this game. Golden State does not have Draymond Green available to organize the defense, which could make Brunson harder to contain. For the Warriors, the key will be outside shooting. Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos and De’Anthony Melton will need to create offense and make perimeter shots if Golden State wants to stay close. The Knicks are favored by around 13.5 to 14.5 points going into the game. A win would help strengthen their position near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. Golden State, on the other hand, is trying to stay competitive until Stephen Curry returns.
