New Delhi: Google has officially unveiled its Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, a latest audio and voice AI model especially designed to make real-time conversations more natural and responsive. The model powers some of the Google services, including Search Live and Gemini Live.
The model better understands and it also responds to voice queries, by making interactions more smoother, faster, and more conversational. Gemini 3.1 Flash Live also supports multiple languages, helping extend voice-based AI features such as Search Live to more users.
Google’s latest voice-aimed AI model is built for real-time conversations. It is especially designed to respond quickly while maintaining a more natural flow in dialogue. This latest model is being rolled out across the different platforms. For those regular users, it has more powerful features like Search Live and Gemini Live, which allow voice-based interactions within Google applications.
Developers can also access it via the Gemini Live API in Google AI Studio, while businesses can use it through Gemini Enterprise tools.
All audio generated by Gemini 3.1 Flash Live includes a SynthID watermark, which is embedded directly into the sound in a way that the users cannot hear. This watermark helps to identify AI-generated audio, and it is aimed at reducing the risk of misinformation.
This latest model performs better in handling complex voice-based tasks. The model has shown improved results in benchmarks that test multi-step instructions and real-world conversational challenges. It can better understand longer queries, follow instructions more accurately, and respond more consistently during the conversations.
The aim of Gemini 3.1 Flash Live is to make AI conversations feel more natural. It also delivers the quicker responses and can also maintain the context of the conversation for the longer periods. This enables the users to continue discussions without replacing themselves, across both simple queries and more detailed interactions.
The models are built to support multiple languages, which helps Google extend its AI features globally. Voice-based search and conversation tools are now available to users in more than 200 countries and regions. This extension makes it easier for people to interact with AI in their preferred language by using both voice and visual inputs.
With the latest model, Google’s Search Live is now rolling out globally to users in regions where AI Mode is available. This feature will let users interact with Search using voice, by enabling them to ask questions out loud and receive spoken responses in real-time. It also supports camera input so that users can point their phone at objects or situations for a better context.
