Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Federation’s honorary president of Vizianagaram district, Bankuru Joginaidu, on Saturday (July 26, 2025) asked the government to ensure re-enrollment in government schools by appointing additional teachers for the schools which have been functioning only with a single teacher for the last two months.

He said that the parents who joined their kids in private schools would again send them back to government schools if steps were taken to appoint at least two teachers for each school.

Speaking to the media, he said that over 30,000 dropouts were noticed in June and July as parents lost confidence in schools run with only one teacher.

“The government should take the data from the officials concerned and take corrective measures for the improvement in enrolment in Zilla Parishad, municipal, KGVB, Gurukulam and other schools. It should also ensure relief for the teachers from non-teaching work such as uploading of details in various Apps on the mobile and surveys of various departments,” he added.

Mr. Jogi Naidu said that the teachers needed to be sent for training programmes in nearby schools instead of other regions. According to him, the teachers are unable to attend the classes and complete the syllabus.
