Navsari: Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvratji visited the Organic Sales Center operating at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Road in Navsari city as a joint initiative of Navsari District Panchayat and Navsari Municipal Corporation.
At the organic sales centre, which is held every Tuesday and Thursday in Navsari city, farmers practicing natural farming in the rural areas of the district directly sell their agricultural products.
Through this sales center, farmers get a suitable market for their products, and healthy and chemical-free natural vegetables and agricultural products are becoming easily available to the citizens of the city. This initiative is becoming an effective system to establish direct contact between rural and urban areas.
Appreciating this ongoing effort in Navsari district, the Governor said that such an initiative is very important to promote natural farming and create awareness among the people about healthy eating.
During the visit, the Governor visited each stall in the sales center and interacted with the farmers and obtained information about natural farming and the sales system. While discussing with the farmers, he also instructed them to make efforts towards widespread promotion of natural farming and ensuring that the farmers get more benefits.
During the visit to the organicl sales center, District Collector Kshipra Agre and District Development Officer Pushpalata gave detailed information about natural farming in Navsari district to the Governor.
Navsari Municipal Commissioner Dev Chaudhary, and officials of the district administration, farmers practicing natural farming and citizens were present on this occasion.
