Governor to participate in Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University convocation on July 10

Andhra Pradesh Governor and Chancellor of Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, S. Abdul Nazeer, will preside over the sixth convocation of the university, to be held on July 10, at Swarna Bharath Trust, in Atkur village, Krishna district, said Collector D.K. Balaji.

The Collector, along with Superintendent of Police (SP) R. Gangadhar Rao, Joint Collector Geetanjali Sharma, university dean Prasanna Kumar, associate dean Doraji Rao, Horticulture officer J. Jyothi and others visited the Swarna Bharath Trust, and reviewed the arrangements for the event, on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Balaji directed the Police, Revenue, university officials and other officers to make necessary arrangements for the convocation. The Collector directed the police to arrange security along the road from Vijayawada to Atkur village. The A.P.-Transco officials should arrange uninterrupted power supply, he added.
