The State government has asked the Employees Healthcare Trust (EHCT) to propose guidelines for the effective implementation of the Employees Health Scheme (EHS).
The trust, headed by the Chief Secretary, has been asked to propose the modalities for issuing health cards to all employees. The board of trustees of the EHCT have been asked to meet at the earliest to finalise the guidelines taking into consideration the guidelines issued in the past.
The EHCT has also been reconstituted with 18 members from the administration including the Chief Secretary, special chief secretaries of key departments, Chief Executive Officers of Rajiv Arogya Sri Trust, Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty and EHS and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration among others. The trust will have 10 representatives from the employees unions and three from the pensioners associations as members.
