Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that his government is committed to undo the ‘disservice’ done by the previous K. Chandrashekhar Rao government in the matter of Kaleshwaram Projects by taking up repairs on the three damaged barrages to bring back them into use for people since huge public money is involved in it.

The State government was taking the help of multi-agency experts at the national and State level for finding the root cause of the failure of the structures so that they could be repaired and rehabilitated with a specific strategy and action plan, the Chief Minister said after visiting Medigadda Barrage of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) in Jayashankar-Bhupalapally district on Monday evening along with his Cabinet colleagues, experts and Chairman of the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) Atul Jain.
