Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asserted that the State government is committed to developing the State-run schools on par with corporate schools to provide quality education to students.
The government has focused special attention on providing health and education to students and has taken several steps in this direction. “We are not treating this as expenditure. We are treating the spend as investment on future,” he said. The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating the new plant of Balamrutam at Telangana Foods here on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister recalled that the scheme was launched for protecting the health of pregnant women by late Indira Gandhi and it had now turned into an industry in itself. The State government was committed to make one crore women as millionaires by 2034 and had initiated several steps for their empowerment. Free travel in RTC buses, free power up to 200 units and sanction of Indiramma houses in women's name were some of the schemes launched in this direction, he said.
