‘Govt distorting history in school books while edu min fails’

Raipur: Congress organisation general secretary K C Venugopal on Thursday accused the BJP-led central government of pursuing divisive politics and attempting to “divert” India’s history by changing school curriculum and syllabus, while failing to ensure accountability in national-level examinations such as NEET and CBSE.Speaking to reporters at Raipur airport while in the Chhattisgarh capital to attend the Congress party’s ongoing training programme at Abhanpur, Venugopal alleged that the government was distorting history and dividing people on religious lines.
