Raipur: Congress organisation general secretary K C Venugopal on Thursday accused the BJP-led central government of pursuing divisive politics and attempting to “divert” India’s history by changing school curriculum and syllabus, while failing to ensure accountability in national-level examinations such as NEET and CBSE.Speaking to reporters at Raipur airport while in the Chhattisgarh capital to attend the Congress party’s ongoing training programme at Abhanpur, Venugopal alleged that the government was distorting history and dividing people on religious lines. He termed this “a clear-cut attack on Constitutional values” and said the Congress was fighting against it.Venugopal also targeted Union Education Minister
Dharmendra Pradhan
, alleging he had “completely failed” in his responsibilities. Referring to NEET, Venugopal said the government had failed to conduct a “clear-cut” and transparent examination process for students across the country. He claimed the government was “misleading the country” by prioritising what he described as polarising issues over education governance and exam accountability.
