The government has invited landowners from Pothukal grama panchayat in Nilambur taluk to submit applications for selling their land under the Land Bank Scheme, which will be used for tribal rehabilitation.
The government is seeking land for the rehabilitation of tribespeople from Narangapoyil and Thandankallu hamlets. Those who wish to sell their land can apply till September 9.
The land should be habitable and should have access to drinking water, road, and electricity. It should also be free from any legal issues or liabilities. Those interested in selling their land should apply to the District Collector, who is also the Chairman of the Tribal Rehabilitation Development Mission (TRDM).
Those who own up to one acre can apply. They should attach copies of the property deed, tax receipt, land sketch, ownership certificate, possession certificate, location certificate, non-attachment certificate, and legal scrutiny certificate. They should also provide the expected sale rate.
