The 23rd Graduation-Day was held at C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology at its campus in Melvisharam near Arcot town in Ranipet.
According to a press release, S. Ziauddeen Ahmed, Chairman, Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society (MMES), presided over the event in the presence of G. Mohamed Kaleemullah, College President, S.Z. Ifthiqar Ahmed and C. Mohamed Zafrullah, Vice-Presidents of M.M.E.S, V. Mohammed Rizwanullah, Correspondent and M. Sasikumar, Principal.
In his inaugural address, R. Gandhi, Minister for Handloom and Textiles, appreciated the extraordinary service rendered by MMES, established in 1918, for the society. He also spoke about government welfare schemes like Naan-Mudhalvan and Pudhumai Penn, which take care of the students’ skills development and upliftment of the women. He advised the young graduates to contribute for the welfare of the nation by being responsible citizens.
On the occasion, 285 graduates received their degree certificates. M. Nazar Mohamed, Secretary and Correspondent, Mazharul Uloom College (Autonomous), Ambur, was also present, the release said.
