With “green buses” (electric vehicles) expected to roll onto Mysuru’s roads by next year and redefine urban mobility, the focus has shifted to creating supporting infrastructure, particularly a dedicated depot and charging facilities.

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is tasked with preparing for a fleet of over 100 electric buses sanctioned under a Union government initiative. These buses will require specialised maintenance space and robust charging infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations from dawn to dusk.
