PM Modi congratulates CP Radhakrishnan as NDA nominates him as Veep candidate

The National Democratic Alliance has nominated CP Radhakrishnan as its candidate for the Vice President. Prime Minister Modi congratulated him, stating that in his long years in public life, CP Radhakrishnan has distinguished himself with his dedication, humility, and intellect, always focusing on community service and empowering the marginalized. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju have been tasked with reaching out to opposition parties, including the INDIA alliance, to seek their support. A formal approval meeting of the NDA parliamentary party is scheduled for Tuesday. The Vice Presidential election process includes training for parliamentarians on September 6, 7, and 8, with elections taking place on September 9. The NDA is confident of a victory given its numbers, while the opposition is yet to announce its candidate.
