HYDERABAD: Tensions flared near the Gachibowli police station on Tuesday when a group of men reportedly attacked residents during a road demarcation exercise conducted by officials from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Authority (HYDRAA) at FCI Colony layout.According to eyewitnesses, supporters of Sandhya Convention owner Sridhar Rao attacked people filming activity. Actress and plot owner Ramyasri and her brother Prashanth were among those injured in attack.The assailants reportedly used a knife and a cricket bat, leaving the victims with minor injuries.Following the attack, Ramyasri filed a complaint with the Gachibowli police. She demanded immediate action to stop what she described as a series of aggressive actions by the convention hall owner.Ramyasri called for police intervention and urged officials to take strict measures against those responsible, ensuring that plot owners are protected from further threats or violence while the layout restoration work continues.However, HYDRAA commissioner AV Ranganath claimed that the incident had occurred outside the layout. “The assault did not happen in the presence of HYDRAA officers, but away from the layout,” the commissioner said.
