The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Gujarat police  on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) arrested a 30-year-old woman from Bengaluru on the charges of having links with an alleged terror module.

The suspect, identified as Shama Parveen, is a native of Jharkhand was staying at a rented accommodation in Manorayapalaya, Hebbal in Bengaluru, from where she was arrested. She is accused of operating social media accounts that allegedly posted content related to radicalisation of youths towards terrorism.

She was produced before the 8th ACMM court, a transit warrant taken by Gujarat ATS to take her to Gujarat.

Following her arrest, Internal Security Division and Central Crime Branch, Bengaluru have launched a probe to ascertain her local contacts.
