GUJCOST STEM Quiz 4.0 Grand Finale Awards ₹2 Crore to Young Innovators

Ahmedabad: The grand finale of ‘National STEM Quiz 4.0-The Journey of a New Generation’ organized by GUJCOST was held at Ahmedabad’s Science City. At the grand finale, prizes worth a total of Rs. 2 crore were awarded to the winners by dignitaries.

With the aim of encouraging scientific curiosity and innovation among the younger generation, STEM Quiz is organized by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat. In its fourth edition, a total of 15,01,249 students from various states and educational boards across the country registered.

After the preliminary and zonal rounds of the competition, a total of 1078 students from across the country reached the grand finale, out of which 918 students were from Gujarat and 160 students were from other states and union territories. The grand finale was conducted by renowned quizmaster Giri Balasubrahmanyam. In this function, the winning students were given prizes by the Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Smt. P. Bharti and she encouraged more students to participate in this competition.

It is worth mentioning here that the winning students of different rounds including the finals of STEM Quiz 4.0 will get the opportunity to visit various renowned scientific institutions of the country like National Forensic Science University (NFSU), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Space Application Centre (SAC)-ISRO in Ahmedabad and get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

Executive Director of Gujarat Science City V. K. Patel, Advisor and Member Secretary of GUJCOST Dr. Narottam Sahu, officers and employees of GUJCOST and Gujarat Science City along with a large number of students, teachers etc. were present at this prize distribution.
