Hailstorm batters paddy crops in Konaraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district

Unexpected showers coupled with hailstorm battered paddy crops at Marrimadla and its adjoining villages in Konaraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district in the early hours of Sunday (April 05).

According to sources, the unusual weather event in the middle of summer dealt a major blow to several farmers in Marrimadla and nearby villages, damaging their standing crops on hundreds of acres.

Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas on Sunday visited the hailstorm affected paddy crops at Marrimadla. He interacted with the affected farmers and assured them of assistance from the government.
