What happened on stage

Harry Styles left fans worried during his Wembley concert after he appeared to choke on water before collapsing to the stage.

As per reports, he dashed along the stage during the final song of the night, As It Was, something he often does to give fans a good look from different angles.

He grabbed a bottle, attempted his trademark water-spitting stunt, and then collapsed to the floor in apparent fatigue. One concertgoer told the Daily Mail that as Harry ran down the stage for the final time preparing for his signature "whale" spit, he sprayed the crowd and then started coughing, managing to suppress his chokes long enough to finish the move before falling to the floor where he lay on his back, continuing to cough and splutter.

But the scare didn't last long. He promptly got back on his feet, ran toward the crowd to wave, and exited the stage on his own after appearing to recover."While lying on the Wembley stage, Styles appeared to heave several times, raising a fist to cover his cough. He also rested his hands on his abdomen, which moved up and down dramatically as he seemingly tried to catch his breath. After about 17 seconds, Styles got back up, seemingly in good spirits, before waving goodbye to the crowd," People reported.

What is Harry Styles' "whale" water spit?

Whale spot is one of the most recognisable stage moments of Harry Styles.Styles takes a gulp of water mid-performance and then sprays it out across the crowd in a dramatic spitting stunt that fans have nicknamed the "whale." It's become a signature bit of his live shows, something fans actively look forward to and film every single night of his tour. But the same stunt that gets fans cheering also requires precise timing between breathing, swallowing, and spraying water out at force, which is exactly where things can go wrong.During his Wembley performance, Styles took a swig of water, danced a little, and then appeared to choke on the liquid before grabbing another bottle and attempting the trick anyway, ultimately collapsing to the floor. Doing this stunt while already out of breath from sprinting across the stage, in extreme heat, makes the margin for error a lot smaller. Your airway needs a clear, coordinated swallow-and-breathe pattern to handle water safely, and that coordination gets shakier the more exhausted and overheated your body already is.The collapse happened on the day the UK broke its record for the hottest June day for the third day running, with temperatures reaching 37.5°C in London. One fan watching noted Harry was already soaked in sweat after just two songs into the set, with the heat clearly taking a toll early on.
