 Three minor boys drown in Somb river near Yamunanagar's Fatehgarh village

YAMUNANAGAR: Tragedy struck in Yamunanagar district on Sunday afternoon when three minor boys drowned in the Somb river, a seasonal rivulet, while bathing near the Fatehgarh village bridge.As per information, a group of boys had entered the river to bathe when three of them suddenly disappeared in the deep waters. On receiving information, local police rushed to the spot and summoned divers. All three boys were pulled out from the river, but it was too late to save them.Two of the boys were found dead at the scene, while the third was immediately transported to Mukand Lal District Civil Hospital by SHO Narsingh of Buria police station in his vehicle.

However, doctors declared him brought dead.SHO Narsingh confirmed that one of the deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Pawan Kumar, a resident of Buria town. His body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination.The identities of the other two victims, estimated to be between 15 and 16 years old, have not yet been established. Their bodies have been kept at the mortuary of the civil hospital in Yamunanagar. Further investigation is underway.
