Hazaribag Road Accident: Motorcyclist Killed, Students Injured in Mini-Bus Collision

Hazaribag: A 55-year-old motorcyclist was killed and five Class X examinees sustained injuries after a mini-bus rammed into the bike on the Panchmadhav stretch of GT Road under the Barhi police station limits in Hazaribag district on Saturday around 9 am, police said.The deceased was identified as Jaikishore Mehta, a resident of Chechakpi village under the Barkattha police station area. He was on his way home from Surajpur Romi when the accident occurred, police added.Officer in-charge of the Barhi police station, Binod Kumar, said, “Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver of the mini-bus, transporting students to the Class X examination centre set up at Vindhyavasini College, Padma, lost control of the vehicle after hitting the bike and overturned on the roadside. The injured were taken to the Barhi sub-divisional hospital and discharged after being administered treatment.

”The injured students were identified as Khalid Raza (16), Javed Akhtar (16), Farhan Raza (17), Iliyas Alam (15) and Aman Paswan (16), all residents of Malkoko village.
