HC dismisses Midhun Reddy’s bail plea

Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday dismissed an anticipatory bail plea filed by YSRCP MP P.V. Midhun Reddy in connection with the liquor scam.

The SIT probing the alleged scam in the liquor policy of the previous YSRCP government named Mr. Midhun Reddy as one of the accused. The MP approached the court seeking anticipatory bail and arguments were heard earlier.

The investigating agency said that Mr. Midhun Reddy played an important role in the entire scam and the MP was not cooperating with the investigation. Mr. Midhun Reddy, however, maintained that he had no role in the scam.

After hearing both sides, the court reserved its verdict and issued orders dismissing the plea of the MP on Tuesday.
