'He Didn't Push Him': Accused Chetan's Father Claims Son Being Falsely Framed In Ketan Agarwal Case

Chetan's father, Babulal Chaudhary, said his son had told the family that he did not push Ketan from Lohagad Fort, where the 26-year-old businessman died on June 18.

The family of Chetan Chaudhary, one of the accused in the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, has claimed that he is innocent and is being falsely implicated in the case.

Chetan’s father, Babulal Chaudhary, said his son had told the family that he did not push Ketan from Lohagad Fort, where the 26-year-old businessman died on June 18.

“He clearly told us that he did not push the boy and was standing far away. The girl was the one standing right there when the boy fell. I do not know whether she pushed him or not, but Chetan mentioned that he was standing a little further back," Babulal said.

He also said the family had no knowledge of accused Siya Goyal and only came to know about her after the incident.

“He only mentioned that he had a meeting and was heading there. He told his mother that in the morning and told me the same. He did not give me any other details before leaving. We have never seen the girl in question and know absolutely nothing about her. In fact, I only found out her name, Siya, yesterday; I have never seen her before. He is being falsely framed and has no involvement in this matter," he said.

A relative of Chetan, Udaram Chaudhary, also maintained that he was innocent and said the family had no idea about any relationship between him and Siya Goyal.

“Chetan is completely innocent in this matter. The media is hyping this up and showing a one-sided view, but Chetan is not involved in it. He is a sportsman and a very straightforward person. There has never been a single complaint against him from anyone in the market," Udaram said.

“Our family members do not know anything about Chetan’s relationship with that girl. We had absolutely no idea. We got a chance to meet him for a minute, and he told us while crying that he was being falsely implicated in this," he added.

According to the police, Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed to death from Lohagad Fort on June 18 by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary. Both have been arrested and are currently in police custody.
