Health scheme for employees starts

The State government has commenced implementation of the comprehensive health scheme for employees as assured.

The government has deducted 1.5% of the basic salary/ basic pension from the May salary/pension disbursed on Monday. The scheme will be applicable for employees, their family members and eligible dependents.

The development follows the guidelines finalised for effective implementation of the healthcare scheme, a long pending demand of the employees. The government constituted the Employee Healthcare Trust to oversee the implementation of the healthcare scheme.
