Heavy rain: Chikkamagaluru DC issues advisory for tourists

The Chikkamagaluru district administration has issued an advisory note to tourists visiting the district in view of the warning of heavy rain in the district for the next five days — from July 19 to 23. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the district.

Deputy Commissioner C.N. Meena Nagaraj, in the advisory note, stated that local people and those visiting the district need to be careful, as there were chances of landslips due to heavy rain. The people visiting tourist spots and engaging in trekking expeditions should be careful, she added.
