Hours before her death, late model Twisha Sharma had visited a salon in Bhopal — the CCTV footage of which has surfaced now — marking a fresh development in a case involving allegations of dowry and mental harassment.

Sharma had visited the salon around 3:12 P.M. on May 12. Later on the same day, she was found hanging at her in-laws’ house, according to a report by NDTV.

At the salon, she was seen getting a head massage and a pedicure. Around 6:15 P.M., she was seen leaving the salon.

Kiran Parihar, the owner of the salon, told NDTV that Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, had called her a day later and made inquiries about her daughter-in-law.

Asked For CCTV Footage, Proof Of Payment

Kiran Parihar recalled Giribala Singh asked for CCTV footage of Twisha Sharma’s visit the previous evening, adding she enquired whether there was any proof or record confirming her visit to the salon.

Singh, a retired judge, went on to ask when her daughter-in-law had visited the salon, when she left, and how she made the payment, NDTV reported.

A second call from her came in the afternoon, the salon owner recalled, saying she asked for footage of Sharma’s visit.

Parihar — who grew suspicious over repeated queries — asked Singh whether Twisha Sharma was okay. This was when she told her that her daughter-in-law had died by suicide.

Later, a group of lawyers gathered at the salon and demanded snippets of CCTV footage. Immediately, a technician was called at the spot and the footage was extracted, NDTV reported.

While the post-mortem report concluded Twisha died by suicide, her family insists there was foul play.
