Bollywood actress Himani Shivpuri recently recalled a memorable moment from the early days of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's career. The actress shared the story on social media after attending a special screening of the restored film 'In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones'.
According to Himani, the SRK himself once reminded her that he had worked as a junior artist in the same film where she played the lead role.
The memory dates back nearly 38 years, which was long before Shah Rukh Khan became one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema.Actress recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s early days in the industryHimani Shivpuri revealed that Shah Rukh Khan himself had mentioned this connection when they first met.
She wrote, "When I first met Sharukh Khan, he had said Maam jis film ki aap heroine thi usme maine junior artist ka kaam kiya tha! Ha ha! Yes Sharukh is in the film playing a character!" “Ma’am, in the film where you were the heroine, I worked as a junior artist! Haha! Yes, Shahrukh is in the film playing a character.”
Screening of restored cult film brings back memories
The actress shared the memory after attending a recent screening of the restored version of 'In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones', which was written by acclaimed author Arundhati Roy and directed by
Pradip Krishen
. Himani described the screening as an emotional and nostalgic experience on social media handle.
She wrote, "Suprabhat! Oh what a magical evening! Watching Where Annie gives it those ones,in INox, Nariman point! The emotions, the nostalgia , the cast reuniting after so many years."Himani recalled the emotional reunion with her colleagues during the screening, and mentioned, "Thank you Pradeep, Arundhati for making such a beautiful film, and thank you Shivy ,Shivendra Singh ,for reviving , restoring the film so beautifully! It premiered in the Berlin Film festival,and yesterday was its theatrical release after 38 years! It was released on Doordarshan in 1988!"

Himani Shivpuri said the screening turned into a reunion for many members of the original cast, "It has all of us theatre actors of Delhi.
