New Delhi: We’ve seen new hands-on images of the new Magic OS 11 update for Honor, which would allow users to get a feeling of what its new interface will look like. The leaked screenshots paint a picture of a brand new “Liquid Glass” in a design style that’s both modern and clear in the company’s software, which is written on an Android platform. The new design should make the system much easier to use and introduce a pretty flair to the system too.

The leaked screens capture multiple elements of the user interface, such as the notifications panel, quick settings screen, home screen, lock screen, dock bar, and pop-up menus. The biggest difference from the old is transparent backgrounds with handy blurs that help the interface look much cleaner and more premium. A lot of users have seen that the overall look is very much like the Liquid Glass, which Apple brought to its latest software updates.

New icons and controls will be semi-transparent in the Quick Settings panel, so that you can see your wallpaper behind them. Active buttons are also highlighted with a light blue color, and brightness and volume sliders are the same approach as the equalizer buttons. This creates a more stylish and contemporary look. The home screen is also significantly enhanced in style. App folders and widgets are now transparent and have soft blur effects. An interesting option is a new “Transparency Mode” option that allows adjusting the intensity of the glass effect with a simple slider. Users can select between a regular wallpaper display and a strong Liquid Glass look.

Glass and transparent widgets that glow around the lock screen have been added, and the clock on the lock screen has been tidied up. Meanwhile, a dock at the bottom of the screen has been redesigned to be themed with the wallpaper while also allowing to see the content without any obstruction. Pop-up menus, such as music controls and editing options, have dynamic lighting and shadow effects to reflect the user’s actions with the screen. MagicOS 11 includes real-time animated effects and light refraction to create smoother scrolling, switching between apps, and transitioning to other portions of the OS, as in previous releases, the report said.

Honor has already begun the MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass UI beta build on certain devices in the Pioneer Edition for Chinese users. Regularly, Expanding Testing for more qualified Handsets is expected by the Company in the upcoming weeks, ahead of the acquisition of the stable variant. Honor has yet to release a schedule for a global rollout, however, and hasn’t yet confirmed what devices outside of China will be the first to receive the update.

By revamping its design, introducing some slicker animated looks and effects that can be customized in terms of transparency, MagicOS 11 hopes to provide a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing software experience. As Honor’s beta testing program continues, more official details will be expected.
