Hope of justice shattered: Full text of Kejriwal's letter refusing court appearance

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to Delhi High Court Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, saying that he will neither appear in person nor through a lawyer in the excise policy case before her, after the judge refused his request to recuse herself from hearing the matter.

He said, “My hope of getting justice from Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma has been shattered,” and added, “Therefore, I have decided to follow Mahatma Gandhi’s path of Satyagraha.” He also said he reserves the right to move the Supreme Court against Justice Sharma’s decision.
