Hospital staff arrested for sexually assaulting minor in Kalaburagi

An incident involving a minor girl being sexually assaulted by a housekeeping staff at a hospital in Kalaburagi on Saturday has come to light on Monday.

The victim was with her father who has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The accused housekeeper, Sampath, a native of Kal Hangarga village, was helping the victim’s family by bringing their clothes from their native.

On Saturday too, he called the victim on the pretext of giving the clothes that he brought from their house and sexually assaulted her.

The accused has been arrested and a case under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered at the Gulbarga University Police Station.
