House damaged due to incessant rain in Shivamogga; family escapes unhurt

A house was severely damaged in the New Mandli locality here following incessant rain on Monday night. Thangavelu, a daily wage worker, his wife, and their three children were staying in the house. The family ran out after a part of a wall collapsed. None of them was injured.

Mr. Thangavelu said he and his family members sensed the wall collapsing and escaped unhurt. Shivamogga MLA S.N. Channabasappa visited the family, interacted with them, and directed officials to make temporary arrangements for their stay. He also assured the family of maximum compensation.
