How to open up the Verdansk Stadium in Warzone

For years, even Warzone players have had mixed feelings about the ominous Verdansk Stadium, ranging from anticipation to exasperation. Starting from never really being open, it was at times accessible in earlier iterations, but the return of Verdansk in Season 5 has become much more interesting: no one drops into the Stadium anymore.

This time, they have to earn their way in.

An Opportunity: Satellite Hijack Contract

During Season 5, the opening to the Stadium roof is not default. Instead, players must go through an intriguing and limited-time challenge: Satellite Hijack Contract.Nobody would try to loot this and run away. First, you locate the Orbital Strike Crates, which are marked with red icons on the tac-map. They spawn somewhat randomly all over the map in each match (there are only 10 in each round), and opening one gives you access to the Contract.

Once the Contract is underway, then the challenge begins.

Race Against Time and the Circle

Time is a factor here. You get 15 minutes from entering Verdansk to complete your contract before the event timer expires for that match. Miss it, and so does the window. And three teams must also finish their own Satellite Hijack Contracts in the same match to set off the stadium-explosion event. So, it really introduces an element of unintended cooperation into a generally cutthroat game.

And if the circle hears this, it may be flung over the roof from afar, killing your grand egg intentions in no time. Off.

Multi-Step Mayhem: How the Contract Unfolds

So, after picking up the Contract, you'll be led to a campsite where a Decrypting Tool might be waiting around beyond; if it isn't, someone's been there before you, so hunt them down.With the tool in hand, your last step is to locate and hijack a relay module. When interaction begins, you hack it, causing a red flare to shoot into the sky-a public announcement of your location. Expect a fight!

How to Unlock Stadium

Three teams successfully pulling this event off mean that the roof would be spectacularly blown open by an orbital strike.

Although one could argue that the roof would be forever open after August 14, this date would be the only chance to see the dramatic in-game event unfold live.So there are rewards for those who take the challenge.

And here's some more, the moment the roof is fitted, the players can sprint to the central structure of the Stadium to find a Weapon Case. If you can hold on to it for 90 seconds in a downed state, you will receive the reward of Red Specter XMG Blueprint, a reward that is openly hiding away.

Given how much everyone from the Warzone community has nagged for Verdansk's return, Activision could have easily just pulled out the nostalgia card. Instead, they created a living, breathing, and somewhat chaotic experience meant to make the Stadium worthy of fight. So, instead of handing over the Stadium, they made the players fight for it.
