YouTuber, boxer, and entertainer Olajide “KSI” Olatunji has taken on a brand-new challenge in football. The British internet star has become a major shareholder and strategic partner in English club Dagenham & Redbridge FC, and he is already speaking about a huge long-term dream about helping the team reach the Premier League.
The club currently plays in the National League South, far away from England’s top tier. Still, KSI believes the journey can begin with the right planning and strong support around the club. Speaking to The Sun, KSI made it clear that he wants to build the club carefully and improve things behind the scenes before chasing big results. The 31-year-old entertainer, who grew famous through YouTube before moving into music and boxing, said the plan will take time but he is ready for the challenge.
His involvement will also be shown in a YouTube series called “Race To The Top,” where fans will see how the club tries to grow.

KSI says the goal is clear, take Dagenham & Redbridge FC as far as possible, even if that means climbing through several leagues first.“I want to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League,” KSI said in his interview with The Sun. “It is going to take time but realistically getting out of this league requires us to improve the team.
I have some additions to really take it to another level and I want to build the community.”One of the well-known names currently playing for the club is former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, who joined the team later in his career. The experienced forward is now one of the most recognizable players in the squad.KSI also explained that his involvement will not be limited to business decisions. He wants to help the club grow both on and off the field.“I want to be the man who can affect things both on and off the pitch,” he said. The social media star believes his business network and online influence can help the club financially as well.“I think the difference with me is that now Daggers is part of my ecosystem, I’m able to use all my resources. This will improve things commercially and financially so we can reinvest into the club and improve facilities.” KSI said building a strong foundation is the first step before chasing trophies or promotions.“The goal is to improve the club in the back end and work on the academy so we can support young talent,” he said. “I want to make sure the foundation of the club is fantastic before we aim for targets like being top of the league.”The idea of celebrities investing in football clubs has become more common in recent years. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney famously bought Wrexham AFC in 2021, helping the club rise through the English football system.KSI now hopes his own story with Dagenham & Redbridge can follow a similar path, even if the road to the Premier League may take many years.
