An HRTC bus travelling from Nerwa in Shimla’s Chaupal subdivision to Paonta Sahib met with an accident at Kavaanu in Uttarakhand. According to initial reports, three people have died and dozens of passengers have been injured in the incident.

The bus was operating on the Nerwa-Paonta Sahib route when it fell into a gorge in the Kalsi area of Dehradun district.  Teams of SDRF are present at the accident site are carrying out search and rescue.

CM Sukhu seeks details

Shimla Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu sought details of the accident soon after receiving information. He spoke to the Shimla Deputy Commissioner regarding the HRTC bus that met with the accident and the condition of the passengers on board.
