Huawei Mate 80 Pro hits global markets with stunning upgrades

New Delhi: Huawei has officially debuted with its Huawei Mate 80 Pro in global markets at its Now is Your Run event in Madrid. In the global version, it runs EMUI 15.0 rather than HarmonyOS 6.0. It features a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and it houses a 5,750mAh battery with 100W charging support.

Along with the flagship device, Huawei also unveils the Watch GT Runner 2, Watch Ultimate 2, MatePad Mini, FreeBuds Pro 5, and Band 11 series.

This device will go on sale in selected regions, with the availability varying by region. It comes with a single 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage version, which is available in three colour options, which include: Black, Green, and Gold Shades. It features a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, up to 1.07 billion colours, and it comes with 3000 nits of peak brightness.

Chinese variant carries Kirin 9030 Pro processor, but the global model specifications details not announced yet. Huawei Mate 80 Pro comes with a 50MP main camera sensor with OIS support. It also features a 40MP ultra-wide camera sensor and a 48MP macro telephoto camera sensor with 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

This device carries a 13MP wide-angle camera sensor for selfies and video calling. From both cameras, users can record video in 4K.

It also carries an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C with USB 3.1 Gen 1 speeds, NFC, dual-band GPS, and NavIC support.
