Hyderabad is set to host an international medical tourism event in June as part of the Telangana government’s push to position the city as a global healthcare destination. Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha on Tuesday directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the event, with participation expected from across the medical and pharmaceutical sectors worldwide.
Officials have been instructed to invite delegates from Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and to ensure participation from leading domestic and international stakeholders in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The Minister also called for collaboration with private players in the medical tourism sector to strengthen the scope and reach of the event.
