A woman out for a morning run in Hyderabad had a shocking encounter after she allegedly spotted a man engaged in an obscene act in a public area, triggering outrage and a police probe.

According to reports, the incident occurred during the early hours when the woman noticed the man behaving inappropriately. The incident took place at the cycling track along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) of Cyberabad on Monday.

She raised an alarm and later approached the police. Cops have registered a case and launched a search for the accused, officials said, adding that efforts are on to identify and nab him.

In a video that is surfacing on social media, she alleged a man masturbating in public. “The man was doing this while the track was crowded. I wish my camera was on so that I could capture his face," she said.

The incident has once again raised concerns over women’s safety in the city, particularly during early morning hours. In a social media post that is now circulating widely, the woman is seen confronting the man, while he turns his back and leaves hurrily from the scene.
